A book review: Pines book 1 by Blake Crouch

I just finish Book 1 of the trilogy Pine by Blake Crouch. It is not usual type of book, but I was intrigued with the set up. Summary from  amazon "Secret service agent Ethan Burke arrives in Wayward Pines, Idaho, with a clear mission: locate and recover two federal agents who went missing in the bucolic town one month earlier. But within minutes of his arrival, Ethan is involved in a violent accident. He comes to in a hospital, with no ID, no cell phone, and no briefcase. The medical staff seems friendly enough, but something feels…off. As the days pass, Ethan’s investigation into the disappearance of his colleagues turns up more questions than answers. Why can’t he get any phone calls through to his wife and son in the outside world? Why doesn’t anyone believe he is who he says he is? Art in 5 minutes: Bruegel the Elder

Peasant Wedding The Flemish painter, Pieter Bruegel the Elder (c.1525-69) was  born in Belgium at the end of the high  Renaissance .  To put this in an historical context Michael Angelo had  already created his master pieces, and the Reformation was rapidly spreading throughout north of Europe .  The religious theme was becoming less prevalent.  Artists had the opportunity to expand and show their interests in portraiture, mythology, landscape and  other genre. At first glance, Bruegel 's subject matter concentrates on the interrelationship between Man and Nature.  He specialized in folk scenes depicting jovial peasants with  bright and vivid manners.  One might almost expects to hear  laughter and music floating in the air.  One finds more evidence of such work when his biographer underlines his decision to accept a secular commission (1565)  at a time of great turmoil between the Cath...
