Things I learnt in September

September was a  time to reflect: 1- I need to slow down when I feeling sick( Duhh). I am not the first mom and won't be the last to overstretch herself. However, I am now making a conscientious choice to slow down and be present in the moment.  2- Read, read and write....  Yes, I need something else than just Homeschooling and the family will be better for it:) 3-Pray and exercises are precious moment not to be ignore. Busy schedule, school to teach, kid activities can take over . I noticed a difference when I take the time to pray and walk, my children might even join me. 4- Finally, it is not easy to reach out to people  but like the old song says" It is a beautiful world " Smile! A book review: Pines book 1 by Blake Crouch

I just finish Book 1 of the trilogy Pine by Blake Crouch. It is not usual type of book, but I was intrigued with the set up. Summary from  amazon "Secret service agent Ethan Burke arrives in Wayward Pines, Idaho, with a clear mission: locate and recover two federal agents who went missing in the bucolic town one month earlier. But within minutes of his arrival, Ethan is involved in a violent accident. He comes to in a hospital, with no ID, no cell phone, and no briefcase. The medical staff seems friendly enough, but something feels…off. As the days pass, Ethan’s investigation into the disappearance of his colleagues turns up more questions than answers. Why can’t he get any phone calls through to his wife and son in the outside world? Why doesn’t anyone believe he is who he says he is? And what is the purpose of the electrified fences surrounding the town? Are they meant to keep the residents in? Or something else out? Each step closer to the truth takes Ethan further from the

Quick meal : Pates au Jambon de Bayonne

Today, I am sharing a quick pasta dish , which is very popular with my family. It is fast and simple. It serves about 6 persons. You will need :  pasta, 1 green pepper, 1 portebello mushroom( I use the large size)   6 slices of Prociotto ham ,  olive oil ,  cheese . Let's start! Cook pasta according to box.  Slices in small pieces green pepper and mushroom.   Slice ham .  Cook vegetables and pan.  When pasta and vegetables ready, mixed them together.  Add a little olive oil, ham and a sprinkle of cheese:)                                      Bon Appetit!

Livre( books) and blog

I really enjoy this book. I am reading this one still.  Jonathan Strange and Mr Norrell is a light book but it is very long about 1000 pages. I am enjoying it and I am finding the time to read it. In french, I am thinking of re-reading a Guillaume Musso : Girl on paper. I am  spending time on the internet: http://modernmrsdarcy.com/      Modern Mrs Darcy , an inspiration for reading..... for adults http://amongstlovelythings.com/   Among lovely things pods are fantastic . Great advice for integrating  good books and the life of children( homeschool or not). http://showerofroses.blogspot.com/    Always inspiring for catholic families... A bientot!
