Things I learnt in November

The weather was rather mild and we loved it! Thanksgiving in short sleeves ...yes please:)

What I have learned this month?

1- I discovered that  Julie http://blog.bravewriter.com/  started a new channel at Periscope .  She has some useful info about writing and she is doing a free workshop tomorrow for children if you want to check it out.

2- For fun fashion and to bring a smile  I follow Mode personnelle http://blogs.lexpress.fr/styles/mode-personnel/.  Check it out . It is a great way to practice French at the same time!

3-It is the time to have Christian Hope and to be Thankful even when it seems that darkness is everywhere.

4- If you want to join in Advent devotion it isn't too late. I am doing Advent Reflections with St Francis :Daily Reflection By : Diane M. Houdek Franciscan Media / 2013 / Paperback
A great little book, inexpensive to get you started and it takes 5 minutes max. We are enjoying it immensely.   Advent with St. Francis: Daily Reflections
We also read a Christmas related book. This morning it was this one. A great story of generosity.  Through this, I learn to be patient and  to start my day with a sense of hope and peace. The Baker's Dozen: A Saint Nicholas Tale

What I learned in May

I found this reflection very helpful to be close to God.  Fr Leo talks about the 5 C :content(faith), conflict( doing his will and not ours), conversation( God is in us , we are never alone), cooperation( with our Lord, I am alive in Him) and contribution( I will bring something of him into the world).  Let's write an unfinished symphony! refurnish your sink

When we moved into our new house, I loved our custom sink .  What I didn't love was that it was 20 years old , all scracht up and almost impossible to replace. The easiest solution was to have it refurbished.   This has to be done by professional.  A porceleine sink  will first be sanded , then painted, holes, scratches will be putted.  The last step is to seal the sink.  The area has to be protected and well aired. The result is stunning.     Before:  After: This process avoids complication one can encountered to changed a custom sink. It is well worth it.
